CENSUS BUREAU ANNOUNCES NEW AGRICULTURAL ATLAS

Finding the nation's most prominent areas of agricultural growth,
production, farms, and other subjects will be easier with the newest
"Agricultural Atlas of the United States." Based on the 1992 Census of
Agriculture, the atlas presents over 300 maps that show state-by-state and
county-by-county information ranging from number of farms and market value
of agricultural products sold to total cropland acreage and livestock
inventories. The report is being released by the Commerce Department's Bureau
of the Census.

The "Agricultural Atlas of the United States" (AC92-S-1) is produced
after each agriculture census, which takes place every five years. The report
will contain both color pattern and black and white dot distribution maps.
