Pennsylvania Marketing Executive
Named to Census Advisory Committee
Sybil F. Stershic, president of Quality Service Marketing of Honesdale,
Pa., has been selected to sit on the Census Bureau's Advisory Committee of
Professional Associations, the Census Bureau announced today.
"I am pleased to serve as a member of the Census Advisory Committee of
Professional Associations," said Stershic, a member and former chairman of
the American Marketing Association. "I will do my best to fulfill this
commitment."
Established in 1994, the committee consists of 36 members who advise
Census Bureau Director Kenneth Prewitt on a range of Census Bureau
programs and activities that relate to their areas of expertise:
marketing, customer service and statistical methodology. Committee members
belong to the American Economic Association, the American Marketing
Association, the American Statistical Association or the Population
Association of America.
Stershic's term on the advisory committee will last until 2002. Quality
Service Marketing specializes in helping business and consumer service
providers strengthen relationships with customers and employees. Stershic
formerly taught marketing communications and business communications at
Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pa.
