The U.S. Census Bureau is releasing a national demographic profile[PDF] that reorganizes, in one file, all the data released last month in the individual state demographic profiles. The data include highlights on the following subjects: age, sex, race and Hispanic origin, household relationship and household type, housing units and tenure (whether the home is owner- or renter-occupied). Areas covered are:
- 355 metropolitan areas, including consolidated metropolitan statistical areas;
- Non-metro areas;
- Four regions;
- Nine census divisions;
- 50 states;
- Washington, D.C., and Puerto Rico;
- 651 American Indian and Alaska Native areas;
- 61 Hawaiian home lands; and
