Census 2000
Summary File 3 -- Detailed sample data compiled from responses to census long-form questionnaires and summarized for geographic areas down to block group or census tract levels. Files will be released for 50 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico, on a flow basis, through this month. The following states or state equivalents are scheduled for release Sept. 24:
Arkansas, Indiana, Louisiana, Mississippi, Virginia; and on Sept. 25: Alaska, Hawaii, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Wisconsin.

Summary File 1 (SF-1) Final National File/Summary File 3 (SF-3) National File: The SF-1 final national and SF-3 national files provide summary data for the entire United States. The files include, but are not limited to, data for the following geographic entities: United States; region; division; state; county; county subdivision; place; metropolitan statistical area/consolidated metropolitan statistical area (MSA/CMSA); consolidated metropolitan statistical area/primary metropolitan statistical area (CMSA/PMSA); urban area; congressional district (106th Congress); American Indian and Alaska Native area and Hawaiian home land; and ZIP code® tabulation area (ZCTA). Scheduled for release Sept. 25.

Income and Poverty in the United States: 2001 -- Two separate reports providing the latest national and state findings on income and poverty levels. (Scheduled for release on Sept. 24.)
Health Insurance Coverage: 2001 -- Annual report on characteristics of those who have health insurance and those who do not. National and state data. (Scheduled for release on Sept. 27.)
Financing the Future -- Postsecondary Students, Costs and Financial Aid: 1996-97 -- Economic and demographic characteristics of college students and the costs and financial aid associated with their schooling. (Tentatively scheduled for release in two weeks.)
Older Foreign-Born Population in the United States: 2000 -- Data from the March 2000 Current Population Survey on the socioeconomic characteristics of people age 65 and over who were not U.S. citizens at birth and how they compare with older people native to this country. (Tentatively scheduled for release in two weeks.)
Census Brief: The Older Foreign-Born Population in the United States: 2000 -- A two-page synopsis of the upcoming report, The Older Foreign-Born Population in the United States: 2000. Summary Population and Housing Characteristics (PHC-1) -- Data based on responses to census short-form questions. Population subjects: age; sex; race; Hispanic or Latino origin; household relationship; and household type and size. Housing subjects: tenure (owner- or renter-occupied) and whether occupied or vacant. Also, land area measurements and population density. The "Profile America" CD for October is in distribution. This series of 60-second features, one for each day of the month, is heard on more than 500 stations across the country. Each feature is keyed to an event whose anniversary or observance is celebrated on the air date. October's edition features the founding of Levittown, German-American Day and Computer Learning Month.
