D. V. Flores is the President and Owner of PEC Corporation, a consulting engineering and construction management firm that is involved in ship channel and industrial projects. In addition to his position as Chairman of the Greater East End District, Mr. Flores is a member of the Board of Managers of the Harris County Hospital District and serves on the Board of Directors of the Salvation Army, Keep Houston Beautiful, Houston Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, East End Area Chamber of Commerce, Buffalo Bayou Partnership, Houston Port Bureau and other civic organizations. He is a former Commissioner of the State of Texas General Services Commission and the City of Houston Planning Commission. He is a founding member of the Houston International Seafarer's Center, Houston Hispanic Forum and PSI Home Savers. He is a former recipient of the United Way Volunteer of the Year Award and the Savvy Award.
