Minority Groups Increasing Business Ownership
at Higher Rate Than National Average
 
Census Bureau Releasing New Minority Business Data

in Washington, D.C., and Los Angeles

   

The U.S. Census Bureau is holding two major events to discuss the boom in the nation’s minority- and women-owned businesses. The findings are from the U.S. Census Bureau’s 2002 Survey of Business Owners. The tabulations provide the latest statistics on businesses owned by Hispanics, blacks, Asians, American Indians and Alaska natives, native Hawaiians and other Pacific islanders and women in the nation, the 50 states and the District of Columbia.
