Profile of Voting-Age Population Released by Census Bureau
   

       The U.S. Census Bureau today released Census 2000 tabulations on the voting-age population by citizenship for each state and county in the country.

       Tables released on the Internet also show national and state voting-age populations and their citizenship status by race and ethnicity.

       The data were derived from the responses from the sample of households who received the census long form, about 1-in-6 nationally, and are subject to sampling and nonsampling error.
