The profile universe is limited to the household population and excludes the population living in institutions, college dormitories, and other group quarters. Data are based on a sample and are subject to sampling variability.

For the characteristic Selected Monthly Owner Costs as a Percentage of Household Income, the percent distributions are calculated based on the total number of Housing Units With a Mortgage and Housing Units Without a Mortgage minus the number of housing units in the not computed category.

For the characteristic Gross Rent as a Percentage of Household Income, the percent distributions are calculated based on the total number of Specified Renter Occupied Units minus the number of units in the not computed category.

For the characteristic Gross Rent, the percent distributions and medians are calculated based on the total number of Specified Renter Occupied Units minus the number of units in the no cash rent category.

1. An '*' entry in the Margin of Error of the Difference column indicates that too few sample observations were available to compute a standard error and thus the margin of error of the difference. A statistical test is not appropriate.

2. An '**' entry in the Margin of Error of the Difference column indicates that no sample observations were available to compute a standard error and thus the margin of error of the difference. In this case, an '-' entry is placed in the Difference column. A statistical test is not appropriate.

3. An '-' entry in an Estimate or Percent Distribution column indicates that no sample observations were available to compute an estimate.

4. An '-' following a median estimate means the median falls in the lowest interval of an open-ended distribution.

5. An '+' following a median estimate means the median falls in the upper interval of an open-ended distribution.

6. An '***' entry in the Margin of Error of the Difference column indicates that the median falls in the lowest interval or upper interval of an open-ended distribution. In this case, an '---' entry is placed in the Difference column. A statistical test is not appropriate.

7. An '*****' entry in the Margin of Error of the Difference column indicates that both single year estimates are controlled. A statistical test is not appropriate.

8. There is an '--' entry in the Statistically Significant column when the Margin of Error of the Difference is set to '*', '**', '***', or '*****'.

9. An 'N' entry in an Estimate, Percent Distribution, Difference, and/or Margin of Error of the Difference columns indicates that data for this geographic area cannot be displayed because the number of sample cases is too small.

10. An '(NA)' entry in the Percent Distribution, Difference, Margin of Error of the Difference, and/or Statistically Significant columns indicates that a test or calculation was not done.
