POPULATION OF Boise City, ID MSA: In 2003, Boise City, ID MSA had a household population of 465,000 - 235,000 (51 percent) females and 230,000 (49 percent) males. The median age was 32.8 years. Twenty-eight percent of the population were under 18 years and 9 percent were 65 years and older. For people reporting one race alone, 91 percent were White; 1 percent were Black or African American; 1 percent were American Indian and Alaska Native; 2 percent were Asian; less than 0.5 percent were Native Hawaiian and Other Pacific Islander, and 4 percent were Some other race. One percent reported Two or more races. Ten percent of the people in Boise City, ID MSA were Hispanic. Eighty-six percent of the people in Boise City, ID MSA were White non-Hispanic. People of Hispanic origin may be of any race. HOUSEHOLDS AND FAMILIES: In 2003 there were 177,000 households in Boise City, ID MSA. The average household size was 2.64 people.
