Standards adopted on this site are based on the Common Core State Standards for Math and the UCLA National Standards for History.
Common Core Standards
The Common Core State Standards (CCSS) were developed by the National Governors Association Center for Best Practices and the Council of the Chief State School Officers and included governors and state commissioners of education from 48 states, 2 territories, and the District of Columbia. The state-led development included collaboration with teachers, school administrators, and experts whose goal was to provide a framework to better prepare students for life after high school, whether that be college or the workforce.
The UCLA National Standards for History were developed by the National Center for History in the Schools at the University of California, Los Angeles under the guidance of the National Council for History Standards.
These standards were created by classroom teachers, supervisors, state social studies specialists, chief state school officers, academic historians in the nation, and representatives of professional and scholarly organizations.
All activities are adaptable to the unique needs of the classroom and are searchable by subject, grade level standard, topic, or keyword.
