    All price index estimates for 2008 and 2009 have been revised to include additional data that had been excluded from the original estimates.

    This is a one-time comparison table for Houses Sold and Houses Under Construction between the new 2005 base year indexes and the 1996 indexes. We will no longer update the 1996 series. Historical price indexes for base year 1996 with data through December 2007 will continue to be available at the links below.
