School District Estimates for 2007

The files in the data directory contain estimates of population and poverty.  The school districts for which we have estimates were identified in the 2007 school district mapping survey, which asked about all school districts as of January 1, 2008 and used school district boundaries for the 2007-2008 school year.  The 2007 estimates are consistent with the population controls and income concepts used in the 2007 American Community Survey single-year estimates.

Excel format:

• USSD07.xls - Estimates for every school district in the nation

• USSD07.txt - Estimates for every school district in the nation
• sd07_[STATE].txt - Estimates for every school district in an individual state, where [STATE] = standard two-letter postal abbreviations.

The text files contain only data - no labels, no table headers, no titles. A description of the contents of the files can be found below or in the file "README" in the file directory.
