The 1993 state and county estimate files only contain data -- no labels,
no table headers, no titles. A description of the contents of the files can be found below
or in the file "README" in the file directory.
I. File Organization:
The files in the estmod93 FTP directory contain estimates of poverty and income
for income year 1993. There is one FTP file for each state (or US) with data for
ALL the 1993 statistics. Additionally, there is also one file that includes the
data for the US and each state and county. On the "Tables for States and Counties
by Income Year and Statistic" page, for the 1993 income year, there is one table
for each statistic for each state (with its counties) and for the US (with all
the states).
II. File Names
est93ALL.dat (for US and all states and counties)
est93US.dat (for US with state data [but no county data])
est93_[STATE].dat (for state with county data)
where [STATE] = standard two-letter postal abbreviations.
