THOMAS L. MESENBOURG
Associate Director for Economic ProgramsThomas L. Mesenbourg is Associate Director for Economic Programs at the Census Bureau. Tom is responsible for the Economic Directorate’s myriad programs including the Economic Census and the Census of Governments and over 100 monthly, quarterly, and annual surveys. Tom has worked at the Census Bureau since 1972. In 2004, Mr. Mesenbourg was the recipient of a Presidential Rank Award for Distinquished Senior Executives, government’s highest award for career executives. Mr. Mesenbourg received his Master’s in economics from Penn State and did his undergraduate work at Boston University.
