To use this system, you will need a user name and password. These are located
in the middle section below the heading "Electronic Reporting" on
the first page of your paper form, which we mailed to you recently.
If you received the ACE-1 and ICT-1 paper forms, this system allows you to complete both surveys with one user name and password. If you received only the ACE-2 paper form, you are required to respond only to the ACE-2 survey. The form number is located on the top left corner of your paper form.
The 2008 ACES is a special survey. This is because for survey years ending in 3 or 8 (actual years ending in 4 or 9) ACES becomes an expanded survey. The purpose of these expanded survey years is to collect more detailed information regarding the specific types of capitalized structures and equipment businesses are purchasing during the survey year in question.
To emphasize, this expanded ACES does not happen every year. The expanded ACES occurs every 5 years (survey years ending in 3 and 8; actual years ending in 4 and 9)
Once you have responded to the online survey(s), you may print a PDF copy of your responses for your records; do not mail or fax it to the Census Bureau.
