Data include number of firms, number of establishments, employment, and annual payroll by enterprise employment size. The industry classification is based on 2002 North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) codes. An establishment with 0 employment is an establishment reporting no paid employees in the mid-March pay period, but paid employees at some time during the year.

Files are in comma-delimited format. Due to size, some of the data are broken down into parts for use in a spreadsheet application.
