2006 Statistics of U.S. Businesses (SUSB) Data

  2006 Annual Tabulations  


Data include number of firms, number of establishments, employment, and annual payroll by employment size of the enterprise. The industry classification is based on 2002 North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) codes. An establishment with 0 employment is an establishment reporting no paid employees in the mid-March pay period, but paid employees at some time during the year.

  2005-2006 Employment Change Tabulations  


Employment change data include the number of establishments and corresponding employment change for births, deaths, expansions, and contractions by employment size of enterprise. The industry classification is based on 2002 NAICS codes.
