This industry comprises establishments primarily engaged in one or more
of the following: (1) the installation or dismantling of building
equipment, machinery or other industrial equipment (except plumbing,
heating, air conditioning or electrical equipment); (2) machine
rigging; and (3) millwriting. Types of equipment installed include
automated and revolving doors, conveyor systems, dumbwaiters, dust
collecting equipment, elevators, small incinerators, pneumatic tubes
systems, and built-in vacuum cleaning systems. The building equipment
and other machinery installation work performed includes new work,
additions, alterations, and maintenance and repairs.
