PETROLEUM BULK STATIONS AND TERMINALS (SIC F5171)

Establishments primarily engaged in the wholesale distribution of crude
petroleum and petroleum products from bulk liquid storage facilities.  These
establishments have a bulk liquid storage capacity of 10,000 gallons or more.
Establishments primarily engaged in the wholesale distribution of crude
petroleum and petroleum products without bulk liquid storage facilities are
classified in Industry 5172.

SIC 5171 is subdivided in some tables into the following catagories-

1. Petroleum bulk terminals

2. Petroleum bulk stations, except LP.

3. Liquefied petroleum gas bulk stations and terminals.


PETROLEUM BULK TERMINALS

Establishments primarily engaged in the wholesale distribution of liquid
petroleum products, except liquified petroleum gases, from bulk liquid
storage terminals. Bulk storage terminals have bulk storage capacity of
2,100,000 gallons or more, or have storage capacity of 100,000 gallons or
more and receive products by tanker, barge, or pipeline.

PETROLEUM BULK STATIONS, EXCEPT LP

Establishments primarily engaged in the wholesale distribution of liquid
petroleum products, except liquified petroleum gases, from bulk liquid
storage stations for resale. Bulk storage stations have bulk storage capacity
of 10,000 to 100,000 gallons, or 100,000 to 2,100,000 gallons and do not
receive their supplies primarily from tanker, barge, or pipeline.


LIQUEFIED PETROLEUM GAS BULK STATIONS AND TERMINALS

Establishments primarily engaged in the wholesale distribution of liquified
petroleum gases from bulk storage stations or terminals.  These
establishments have a bulk liquid storage capacity of 10,000 gallons or more.
