How to Find the Latest Business Data

The Economic Census profiles the U.S. economy every 5 years. Data for 1997 are available. Data for 2002 will be collected in 2003 and published in 2004 and 2005.

The Census Bureau also publishes a variety of data on an annual, quarterly, or monthly basis. Except as noted below, these "current" programs are limited to national data.

CD-ROM 2D includes data sets not available in FactFinder: Comparative Statistics, the Bridge Between NAICS and SIC, data for Outlying Areas, and Minority- and Women-Owned Businesses. CD-ROM 3 presents ZIP Code Statistics, also not available in FactFinder. You may subscribe on-line.
