NOTICE:

The Bureau of the Census and the Bureau of Economic Analysis issued today the
U.S. International Trade in Goods and Services 1994 Annual Revisions.

Goods
For 1994, unadjusted Census Basis goods data were revised to eliminate "carry over" (that portion of the
monthly statistics that arrives too late for inclusion in the transaction month) and to include errata
(corrections to the published monthly data).  For 1993-1995, the seasonally adjusted data were revised based
upon recomputed factors for seasonal and working day adjustments.  For 1992-1995, the Balance of
Payments adjustments were revised based upon updated source data and seasonal factors.

Services
The services estimates were revised to incorporate updated source data and improved coverage of
transactions for 1992-94 and the first quarter of 1995.  Coverage was improved for the other transportation
accounts.  Other accounts were revised based upon updated quarterly and annual survey data.  The revised
data are seasonally adjusted.
