New Verify Message Being Added to the AES July 28, 2010,
Response Code: 856 Improbable ISO
On July 28, 2010, The Automated Export System (AES) mainframe will generate a Verify Message for all filers who submit a shipment containing one of the following International Organization for Standardization (ISO) Country Codes:
• N. Korea 'KP'
• Sudan 'SD'
• Cuba 'CU'
• Pitcairn Island 'PN'
• Iceland 'IS'
• Nicaragua 'NI'
Reason: The ISO reported may or may not be valid for the country of destination.Resolution: Verify the ISO code entered is the correct ISO code for the country of destination. Consult Appendix C of the Automated Export System Trade Interface Requirements (AESTIR) to determine the appropriate ISO code using the link below.
