The 2013 surplus with South and Central America $25.8 billion was the highest on record. November's graph of the month shows the annual trade balance with South and Central America back to 2004. As you can see the surplus increased from $11.4 billion to $25.8 billion in 2013. In 2005 the trade balance reached a deficit of $50.5 billion and then reached a surplus in 2009, 2010 and 2012.
