Notice To Users of the Steel Imports Data

While compiling the March 2005 final steel import statistics, the Census Bureau identified a processing error that caused several steel commodities to be omitted. The omissions affected the Total Steel Products and the Carbon (Non-Alloy) Steel Products. With the release of the March 2005 statistics on May 11 2005, the January and February 2005 Final U.S. Imports for Consumption of Steel Products (FT-900A) have been revised. The revised exhibits, reports, and data files can be found at www.census.gov/foreign-trade/Press-Release/steel_index.html.
