Beginning with January 2014 statistics, the Foreign Trade Division will be implementing revisions to the Harmonized System (HS) - North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) concordance. This revised concordance is the product of a thorough review done to better align these two classification systems. NAICS data in exhibit 15 of the FT-900 and exhibits 1, 2, 2a, of the FT-900 Supplement will reflect these changes. The new concordance can be found at: http://www.census.gov/foreign-trade/reference/codes/index.html#concordance. Tables showing the NAICS shifts are available below:
With the release of the U.S. International Trade in Goods and Services: April 2014 and the accompanying U.S. International Trade in Goods and Service: Annual Revision for 2013 on June 4, 2014, the prior three years of data (2011-2013) will reflect these revisions to the Harmonized System (HS) - North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) concordance.
