Boundary and Annexation Survey (BAS) Annual Response

The Census Bureau is mailing, faxing or emailing an annual response letter to all federally recognized American Indian tribes with reservations or off-reservation trust land, governmental counties (and equivalent areas), incorporated places, consolidated cities, and governmental Minor Civil Divisions (MCDs) in December of 2012 and January of 2013.

All BAS respondents that wish to submit boundary changes, corrections, or feature updates must request maps from the Census Bureau or download materials from this web site.  All 2013 BAS maps, forms, letters and user guides are available for download.

Participants who wish to have the Census Bureau ship paper maps or MAF/TIGER Partnership Software (MTPS) materials must notify the Census Bureau prior to February 15, 2013 to allow adequate time for material creation and shipment before the March 1, 2013 deadline. If you do not request materials by February 15, 2013, you have until April 15, 2013 to still request materials to allow adequate time for material creation and shipment before the May 31, 2013 deadline.  Please contact the Census Bureau by phone at (800) 972-5651 or by e-mail at geo.bas@census.gov for more information or to request materials. You may also request materials, update contact information, and report no changes using the online form below.
