2	Feature Coverage and Sources	Research and identify ways to make feature metadata easier to provide, maintain, and access.

1	Quality Assessments and Evaluations	Recommend  a problem capture, prioritization, analysis, and reporting tool.  
2	Quality Assessments and Evaluations	Recommend a Confidence, Analysis, and Tracking Tool and recommend the Quality Indicators to be used in this tool.
3	Quality Assessments and Evaluations	Recommend the parts of the Address and Feature Accuracy Standards that are most beneficial to GEO.

1	Partnerships	Educate existing and potential partners on geographic partnership programs and opportunities, census geography, census data needs and requirements, and the benefits of partnering with the Census Bureau.

1	Geocoding	Research and recommend in-office operations that support the continued collection of manual (non-GPS or “relative”) coordinates acquired from outside reference sources.  
2	Geocoding	Research, develop, and test alternatives to our current address standardization software. Recommend address standardization software.  Any recommendation must be CASS certified software.
3	Geocoding	Evaluate and determine the usability of parcel data and/or parcel centroids to determine if they can be used similar in an operation similar to SCEMA.

1	MAF/TIGER Integration and Linkage	Evaluate whether the street names within the MAF are consistent with those in TIGER.
2	MAF/TIGER Integration and Linkage	Evaluate that the assignment of MAF Structure Points to census block is the same in MAF and TIGER.  
3	MAF/TIGER Integration and Linkage	Evaluate the consistence of address ranges between MAF and TIGER.  

1	GPS	Develop a multi-tiered GPS/GNSS Technical Requirements Document for GPS data collection equipment, software and collection parameters.
2	GPS	Develop a Quarterly GPS/GNSS Technology Report highlighting current status, future plans and improvements to global navigation satellite systems

1	Project and Contract Management	Provide communications methods for cross-WG usage, such as a common web-based calendar of WG activities and milestones, on-line bulletin boards, and Lotus Notes email groups. 
2	Project and Contract Management	Maintain a schedule of all WG activities and milestones at the high- and medium-level.  Consolidate into a GSS Initiative section of the existing GEO MIS and in a GSS Initiative Workflow Chart.
3	Project and Contract Management	Continue coordinating with the GCMB to perform market research and initiate appropriate GSS Initiative related contracts.  

1	Policy	Focus on the Census Bureau’s goal of conducting a targeted address canvassing in preparation for the next decennial census in 2020; communicate with the other GSS Initiative Working Groups, other Census Bureau Divisions and external stakeholders as to the quality of the MTDB and the feasibility of a targeted address canvassing.  
2	Policy	Assess whether external stakeholder participation in the GSS Initiative, specifically the submission of address lists and spatial databases, is leading toward the goal of a targeted address canvassing.
3	Policy	Focus on the restrictions of address and spatial data under Title 13, the legislation which requires the Census Bureau keep the content of the Master Address File (MAF) and housing unit locations confidential.
