What's New in the LUCA Program?

Federal Register Notice (September 15, 2009): Procedures for Participating in the Appeals Process for the 2010 Decennial Census Local Update of Census Addresses (LUCA) Program. [PDF] [TEXT]

Notice to LUCA Liaisons (19 November 2009):

In response to concerns about the adequacy of a 30-day review period, the 2010 Decennial Census Local Update of Census Addresses (LUCA) Appeals Staff, following consultation with the Census Bureau, is extending the deadline for participating governments to file a LUCA appeal.  Rather than having to appeal within 30 calendar days of their receipt of the LUCA feedback materials, governments now have 45 calendar days from receipt of the materials to appeal.   Extensions beyond 45 days cannot be accommodated.

Important Notice for Option 3 LUCA Feedback Recipients (9 November 2009):

Please be advised that although your data CDs may state on the label that they contain Title 13 Data, they do not. You may disregard that warning. There are no Title 13 data on Option 3 data CDs.
