The Geographic Information Framework Data Content Standard Governmental Unit and Other Geographic Area Boundaries establishes content requirments for the collection and interchange of governmental unit, legal entity and boundary data so that the costs of acquiring and exchanging governmental unit boundary information between Federal, State, Tribal and local governments are reduced.
