LandView® III Y2K Software

rule

To replace your LandView III software with a Y2K compliant version, please follow the instructions given below. This software update also allows LandView III to run on newer machines that have a 100 MHz or greater system bus and provides a few minor enhancements such as querying the EPA's EnviroFacts database from the LandView EPA databases.

Step 1 -- Download files

If LandView III is open, close the program. Download the LV_Y2K.EXE file (2.14 MB) to the \LV3 folder on your hard drive. If you accepted the default drive during the LandView III installation, this folder will be found on Drive C:\.

Step 2 -- Decompress file

In Windows Explorer navigate to the LV3 folder and double-click on Y2K_LV3.EXE. This should open a DOS Window where you will receive a warning that you are about to overwrite an existing file. Press the "Y" key for each warning to indicate that you want to overwrite each of the four files.

Step 3 -- Verifying that Y2K LandView III is Installed

When you re-start LandView III, you can verify that you have the correct version of the software installed by noting whether the LandView III startup screen shows Version 1.0.5 and the MARPLOT startup screen shows Version 3.2.1b.
