Federal Government Civilian Employment Data 2008 – Provides summary information on the number of Federal Government employees by governmental function and their gross payrolls for a one-month period. Data are for the month of December 2008. The summary table is available as a spreadsheet or as a viewable PDF file.

Annual Survey of Government Employment & Payroll Data 2008 – Provides statistics on the number of state and local government civilian employees by government function and their gross payrolls for the month of March 2008. These data are available in viewable tables and downloadable files.

2007 State and Local Finance – These tables provide detailed data files and summary information for state and local governments by level and type of government, and for individual units. The data files are available for download in text formats. The summary tables are available in a spreadsheet or TXT viewable tables. This release covers those governments with fiscal year ending dates between July 1, 2006 to June 30, 2007.)
