The original 1997 publication was released on June 21, 2000. Revisions were made on August 15, 2000, to figures 2, 3, and 4 and tables 1, 6, 7, 8, 11, 12, 13, and 14. The changes in the figures and various tables 1 through 12 involve changes to expenditure data for Kentucky and resulting changes in total U.S. expenditures. Tables 13 and 14 were revised to reflect these changes, as well as a few expenditure changes within enrollment-size groups.

The publication currently available on this site includes the revised data. These changes do not affect the data files, which were not revised.
