Rental Housing Finance Survey Main
The Rental Housing Finance Survey (RHFS) is a biennial survey designed to collect data on the financial, mortgage, and property characteristics of multifamily rental housing properties in the United States. The RHFS is sponsored by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD)
and conducted by the Census Bureau. The first National RHFS occurred in 2012 and the next National RHFS will occur in 2014. The Pittsburgh metropolitan area RHFS occurred in 2012.
