Student Career Experience Program - Geographer

HOW TO APPLY

Co-ops assist in:

  • Locating and evaluating geographical evidence.
  • Analyzing a variety of geographical information: maps, tables, computer printouts, edit listings, and similar items.
  • Using GIS principles and interrelationships of geographic entities to define and uncover problems to determine adherence to specifications and resolve errors.
  • Generating drafts of specialized maps, tables, and lists of geographic entities to define and uncover problems to determine adherence to specifications and resolve errors.

At least sophomore status. Major in Geography. Course work required in Geography or closely related physical or social science such as geology, meteorology, economics, statistics, sociology, anthropology, political science, history, cartography, computer science, or urban studies.

At the time of graduation, candidates will need to have 24 semester hours in Geography or related qualifying fields.
