About the Conference

The International Census Forum is an informal association of national statistical offices that meet on an annual basis in order to exchange information about population and housing censuses. Attendance at the conference has included the census directors and senior staff from; Australia; Canada; New Zealand; and the Republic of Ireland; as well as England, Scotland, Northern Ireland, and Wales of the United Kingdom. As the conferences have rotated around the world, other “local” countries have also attended, including France, Hong Kong, and Singapore. This year's three-day forum meeting, consists of presentations from the participating national statistical offices, as well as discussions among all participants covering specific aspects of census methodologies, operations, technology, and management.
