The Census Bureau's National Processing Center is a modern 75-acre data processing facility with the latest in telecommunications and computer processing technologies. Eleven buildings – more than one million square feet – house more than 3,100 personal computers and the workforce still expands and contracts depending upon work requirements, employing anywhere from 1,200 to 6,000 workers.
