Availability: Summary File 1 is available as a two DVD set (V1-D10-S1S1-08-US1). The DVDs contain the 2010 Census Data Engine retrieval software allowing users to manipulate, display, and download data from the file. Summary File 1 is also available in American FactFinder, and in ASCII format through our FTP site.
Subject content: Summary File 1 contains the data compiled from the questions asked of all people and about every housing unit. A total of 331 data tables are included in this file. A complete listing of tables in this file can be found in the Technical Documentation [PDF].
Population items include sex, age, race, Hispanic or Latino origin, household relationship, household type, household size, family type, family size, and group quarters. Housing items include occupancy status, vacancy status, and tenure (whether a housing unit is owner-occupied or renter-occupied).
