All Census Bureau reports since 1996 on have been released online in PDF free for customers to download; some reports from key earlier series (e.g., the 1990 Census of Population and Housing and the 1992 Economic Census) also are online in PDF. To access these reports, you can click on the link to Publications on the Census Bureau home page.
Still some customers prefer data in printed form. Although the Census Bureau produces many fewer reports in print than in years past, users still have many print options.
Most reports are sold as print-on-demand publications by the Customer Services Center, notably the reports based on the Economic Census, County Business Patterns, the Consolidated Federal Funds Report, and the Annual Survey of Manufactures. The prices of these reports are determined by the page count (See Guide to Print-on-Demand Prices).
Still have questions on how to get one of our PDF files in a printed form? Contact the Customer Services Center at 1-800-923-8282 or 301-763-INFO (4636).
Customers with printers and Adobe Acrobat can print their own copies of PDF reports. For a fee, the Customer Services Center will print the publication, give it a plastic spine binding, and ship it to you via Federal Express or other delivery courier. Prices vary according to the page count. You will have to call the Customer Services Center 301-763-INFO (4636) for an exact price but here are some general guidelines.
