data for the United States, States, and some counties on miscellaneous wholesale subjects,
including petroleum bulk stations and terminals. Tables show sales by class of
customer--retailers and industrial users, for example; sales and commissions received by agents
and brokers; and inventories. The report also includes employment by the principal
activity--sales and sales support, for instance. A
table shows data by kind of business for each detailed type of operation--import merchants,
manufacturers' sales offices, or auction companies, for instance.
All data are limited to national summaries except for figures on petroleum bulk stations and terminals. These data, including storage capacity by type of product, are shown for States. Gallon sales of products by type of facility and bulk storage capacity by type of product are included by selected counties.
