Census 2000: File Transfer Protocol for Redistricting Summary Data (Public Law 94-171)

Description: This presentation has been designed for the novice data user as an overview of the File Transfer Protocol (FTP) for the Redistricting Summary Data (Public Law 94-171). The presentation serves largely as a direct demonstration of the methods to download individual data files directly to a user's PC. Included in this presentation is some background on the software needed to decompress the data files. This presentation can be used independently and in other training settings.
