Slide 20 of 36
Notes:
Looking at the example on the slide, we can see that the White population decreased by 25,760 persons (using race alone) or increased by 130,722 persons (using the race alone or in combination categories). The difference is somewhere between minus 0.4 and 2.1 percent.
Remember, the numerical difference, when using the race alone or in combination category, will add to more than the total population, since people can be counted in more than one category.
