Data users can find virtually everything they need off the Census Bureau’s web site, www.census.gov.

There is a special site <http://ftp2.census.gov> for file transfer protocol downloading of complete data sets in ASCII comma delimited format.

File Transfer Protocol (FTP) is not for the occasional user, it is also not for the novice user. There is a “read me” file that users should refer to before attempting to download files.
