The South Omaha Community Care Council joins the U.S. Census Bureau in presenting a Multicultural Census Summit in Omaha, Neb. The summit will give an overview of local and national 2010 Census operations, show how to promote the census and provide information about how to reach hard-to-count populations.

The U.S. Census Bureau's Denver region -- which includes Arizona, Colorado, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, South Dakota, Utah and Wyoming -- has the third largest Hispanic population of the bureau's 12 regions. It contains 90 tribal nations covering 76 percent of the American Indian population living on reservations. The South Omaha Community Care Council formed in 1999 to address health care needs unique to South Omaha.
