Chief, Manufacturers' Shipments, Inventories and Orders (M3) Branch
U.S. Census Bureau

Chris Savage is Chief of the U.S. Census Bureau's Manufacturers' Shipments, Inventories and Orders Branch commonly known as the M3 Survey. The M3 is one of the Bureau's twelve key economic indicator programs, producing two press releases per month on the state of manufacturing in the United States. In addition to working in the private sector, he has worked for three different counties and municipalities in the Greater Washington area as an Economic Development Official working to attract and retain business with an emphasis on manufacturing companies.

Chris received his Bachelor's Degree in Economics from St. Mary's College of Maryland and a Master's Certificate in Project Management from George Washington University and a Master's Certificate in Leadership and Management from University of Maryland, University College. He is currently in the process of earning a Master's Degree in Project Management. He is a Senior Fellow of the Excellence in Government Fellows Program through the Partnership for Public Service. He has received the Bronze Medal and the Director's Award for Innovation for his outstanding contributions to the Census Bureau's economic programs.
