Sharon Ennis

Demographic Statistician, Ethnicity and Ancestry Branch,
Population Division

Sharon Ennis joined the U.S. Census Bureau in 1999 as a mathematical statistician in the Demographic Statistical Methods Division. She began in the Quality Assurance and Evaluations Branch, where she coordinated quality control and response error reinterviews and performed response variance analysis. In addition, Ennis worked in the Foreign Trade Division's Methods Research and Quality Assurance Branch, where she performed seasonal adjustment of foreign trade data. She has been in her current position as a demographic statistician in the Population Division's Ethnicity and Ancestry Branch for five years. She currently works with Hispanic origin data from the American Community Survey and decennial censuses.

Ennis has earned a bachelor's degree in mathematics from Loyola College in Maryland as well as a master's degree in mathematics from Howard University.
