FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: THURSDAY, OCT. 8, 2009

The Census Bureau will continue the suspension of access to prerelease data products first announced Thursday, Oct. 1, 2009, at least through the end of this month. Data scheduled for release later this month from the American Community Survey, as well as other data releases, will be made available on an immediate release basis only. The bureau is continuing its assessment of its embargo policy and will issue an update when the assessment is complete.
