*NOTE TO CORRESPONDENTS* -- Census Bureau to Release 2009 State Population Estimates Wednesday, Dec. 23, 12:01 a.m.

     The federal government was closed Monday, Dec. 21 because of inclement weather. As a result, the Census Bureau is now planning to release the July 1, 2009, population estimates for states Wednesday, Dec. 23, 12:01 a.m. EST, instead of the previously announced Dec. 22 release. Reporters should call the Public Information Office at 301-763-3030 for more information.
