NOTE:  Census 2000 provides two different variables, age on April 1, 2000 and date of birth, for 
deriving population by single year of age on April 1, 2000.  These two variables exhibit slightly 
different results.  State estimates were derived from single-year of age on April 1, 2000, while 
national estimates were derived from date of birth.  For this reason, slight inconsistencies may exist 
between national and subnational tabulations of population by single year of age and sex for April 
1, 2000.

6 = East South Central
7 = West South Central
8 = Mountain
9 = Pacific

The key for SEX is as follows:
	0 = Both Sexes
	1 = Male
	2 = Female

AGE is single-year of age (0, 1, 2, ... 85+ years) and 999 is used to indicate total population.
