Institutional and Regional Development Workshops: The U.S. Census Bureau is conducting several workshops to build statistical capacity for countries in the Middle East through a partnership with the Arab Institute of Training and Research in Statistics (AITRS)  , based in Amman, Jordan. The U.S. Census Bureau also collaborates with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA)   to conduct ad-hoc regional workshops. It is collaborating with counterparts in India and Kenya to build in-house statistical and demographic training centers.
