With this addition, the MSA now comprises Chester and Madison Counties, Tennessee. CHANGES EFFECTIVE JUNE 30, 1997: There were no changes to the metropolitan area definitions. CHANGES EFFECTIVE JUNE 30, 1998: New area: Missoula, MT MSA (5140) Level D Missoula County Changes in components: Manchester town, Essex County, Massachusetts, was renamed Manchester-by- the-Sea. The town is within the Boston-Worcester-Lawrence, MA-NH-ME-CT CMSA, Boston, MA-NH PMSA. Augusta-Richmond County, GA is now listed as the central city of the Augusta-Aiken, GA-SC MSA. The former Augusta city, GA consolidated with Richmond County, GA in 1996. For statistical treatment, the central city excludes Blythe town and Hephzibah city, which are partially and wholly incorporated places within Richmond County, respectively. Miami-Dade County, FL was formerly known as Dade County, FL. The Federal Information Processing Standard (FIPS) code for the county has been changed from 025 to 086. A new town was created out of territory ceded by Standish town, Cumberland County, Maine: Frye Island town (Census MCD code: 043/FIPS Entity code: 27025). The new town is part of the Portland, ME MSA. ADDENDUM - CHANGE EFFECTIVE OCTOBER 5, 1999 Jacksonville city is now listed as the central city of the Jacksonville, FL MSA. The former Jacksonville (remainder) no longer exists due to a change in legal definition by the State of Florida (the state no longer legally recognizes Jacksonville to be a consolidated city). The FIPS entity code was changed to 35000 to reflect the change.
